This Resource Guide was compiled to provide assistance to individuals and families who may or may not qualify for public assistance benefits or services, but due to the current fiscal situation find themselves financially challenged.

There are over 59,000 people in Rockland over the age of 60. The special needs of this population are the primary concern of the Rockland County Office for the Aging. It is hoped that this Directory of Services will assist older Rocklanders and their families to locate and utilize information about the programs available to them.

There are many men and women throughout Rockland County who do not need or wish to live in an institution. However, by living at home, their medical and rehabilitation needs are not being met. As a result, we pioneered this medically-oriented daycare program. The Adult Day Healthcare Program provides structure and comprehensive programs that provide a number of services including healthcare monitoring, therapy, case management, and therapeutic recreation in a safe and cheerful environment.

Free transportation is provided from home to the center and back.

Fees depend upon the number of days of participation and are charged on a sliding scale. In addition, Medicaid covers the cost. This will be discussed and explained at your initial meeting.

Please contact Jill Weinman, RN, BSN at 845-364-2875 for more information.
